Dedication & Aim
Since it's foundation, the ACC pursues the following intentions:
1.) One agenda item of the ACC is handling questions about the colour vision problem and the circumstances from people concernerd and not concerned. Thereby not only questions concerned with aviation, but also questions with respect to other professions, such as police service, are directed to the ACC. The ACC answers all inquiries up to it's abilities qualified, objective and fast and, if necessary, forwards inquiries directly to competent authorities.
2.) The ACC acts as a platform just for those people, who are excluded from aviation by current colour vision regulations. It sheds light on the problem and approaches proficiently competent authorities and institutions involved.
3.) Fundamental object in view by all efforts of the ACC is to render public relations and to throw light on the problem, particular for aviation in terms of Dr. Arthur Pape. This area covers not only general questions on topic of colour vision defection, but deals also with explicit problems which arise from taking into account international law and aviation for instance, because of the different colour vision regulations. The ACC points out to these problems by providing a pool of infomation on topic on the internet and tries also to win the media for the problem.
4.) The ACC promotes lower colour vision regulations in Germany and Europe - by the standard of Australia and the USA - as well as abolishment of (defacto) colour vision test used in Germany and Europe for aeromedical assessment (pseudoisocromatic plates, anomaloscope).
5.) In addition, the ACC tries to establish and maintain the contact to Dr. Arthur Pape as well as to many other organisations.
6.) The ACC organises regularly member conventions and public meetings.
